先日、息子二人を連れて山形に行ってきました。天童市に行く用事ができたので、ついでに連れて行けば子どもにとってもいい経験になるかなと。

新幹線でお昼頃に天童駅に着いて、駅ビルに入っていた、ラーメンもパスタもある小さな食堂でお昼にしました。注文したミートソースパスタを食べながら、７歳の次男が言うのです。

「俺、アリか犬に生まれたかった」

なんで？　と聞いたら「いろいろやらなくていいじゃん、人間みたいに」と。こんな小さな少年に、私はあれこれ負担をかけているのかなぁと心配になりました。

I visited Yamagata prefecture with my boys as I wanted to visit the museum there. After we arrived at Tendo-shi station in Yamagata, we took lunch at a small restaurant in a small station.

Haru, 7 years old, suddenly said eating meat sauce pasta he ordered.

“I wish I had been born as an ant or a dog.”

“Why?” I asked. He said, “Because ants and dogs don’t have too many plans to do like humans”.

I wonder I am demanding this little boy too much…
